Our son Ryan was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma in 2004. In 2007, my wife Missy was diagnosed with stage 2 triple negative breast cancer. On July 8th, 2009, Missy lost her battle to this horrible disease. 2 days later, on July 10th, Ryan also lost his. Together forever, they both watch over our family now from the heavens above. Below is our families journey through Ryan's treatments, along with the joy and laughter we tried to instill into our daily lives. Those days helped us all cope with the pain and suffering that comes with cancer and it's deadly treatments. Both Missy and Ryan endured high doses of chemo, radiation and surgeries. Over 150 nights spent in the hospital and many, many more days. More transfusions than I could count. Yet both Missy and Ryan took on each day with a positive attitude and warm smile for all their friends. We miss them terribly. They will always be a shining light in our lives.

100% better!

Ryan is doing so great!! He took a short nap on Saturday, and woke up feeling so much better. He hasn't had any more nausea and hasn't complained of any pain. He played at Matt's for several hours on Sunday, and just had a ball. They have a cute new puppy. He went to school this morning and was back at karate tonight. I have no idea what was going on with him. I know he played football pretty hard in the yard on Thursday with Will and my brother, and that is all I can figure out. I keep going back to something Dr. Rapkin has told me a few times- look for something that comes and stays. Let's just hope and pray that whatever it is, it doesn't stay and we have seen the last of it. Thank you all for your prayers. I know that the Good Lord is listening. I would also like to ask you to pray for my aunt. She is having a PET scan this week. We are afraid she has lung cancer. Love, Les, Missy, Heidi, Will, and SuperRyan

Guest Book:
I'm glad to hear Ryan's doing better! My name is Ashley and I go to South Forsyth High school in Georgia. For one of my computer classes, we had to make a powerpoint slideshow along with a song. The song I chose was "Skin" by Rascal Flatts and my theme was to pray for all the children who have been battling with cancer by putting their pictures as my background for the slides. I was entered into the Tech Fair in Georgia and I was wondering if I could have your permission to use Ryan's picture as a background in one of my slides. Please e-mail me back at chocolateblonde9@yahoo.com whenever you get a chance! Thank you so much!

God Bless,
Ashley
