About Me
- Name: Ryan
- Location: Athens, Ga, United States
Our son Ryan was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma in 2004. In 2007, my wife Missy was diagnosed with stage 2 triple negative breast cancer. On July 8th, 2009, Missy lost her battle to this horrible disease. 2 days later, on July 10th, Ryan also lost his. Together forever, they both watch over our family now from the heavens above. Below is our families journey through Ryan's treatments, along with the joy and laughter we tried to instill into our daily lives. Those days helped us all cope with the pain and suffering that comes with cancer and it's deadly treatments. Both Missy and Ryan endured high doses of chemo, radiation and surgeries. Over 150 nights spent in the hospital and many, many more days. More transfusions than I could count. Yet both Missy and Ryan took on each day with a positive attitude and warm smile for all their friends. We miss them terribly. They will always be a shining light in our lives.

The age old question...WHY ?
It will be a day that will live in our children's memory forever. It is up to us to help make it uplifting for them and proud.
In lieu of flowers, we will be taking donations for Missy's and Ryan's dear charities, CURE and The Lighthouse.
In God We Trust, Les, Missy, Heidi, Will and SuperRyan
Please take small comfort in knowing that there are many of us who are praying so hard for you and your family in this time.
God Bless you,
Kristi Bernstein--Mom to Eva, age 2 stage 3 NB

My heart hurts for you and the kids. You all have been in our nightly prayers. Lily always mentions Ryan and Missy. It would be so easy for you to turn your back on God. I certainly hope and pray you will not. Your loss is so hard to understand. I pray God will provide for you and help ease your broken heart. You are an Awesome family!
We Love You,
Team brAvery
And stay a few weeks with me and my mother. And have Ryan sleep with me and if he needed anything I would get it for him. He is one heck of a fighter as well.
This is our secret together. I don't want to see the pain last with the family. but i lost my father in 1985 never came home from work. He died in work. due to a heart attack. Age 54. And it ment a lot to me. I even tried to die myself a few times. But it's old news now. Also The pain will get better from Missy's loss. Trust me it will.
Thank you
Love as a friend
