About Me
- Name: Ryan
- Location: Athens, Ga, United States
Our son Ryan was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma in 2004. In 2007, my wife Missy was diagnosed with stage 2 triple negative breast cancer. On July 8th, 2009, Missy lost her battle to this horrible disease. 2 days later, on July 10th, Ryan also lost his. Together forever, they both watch over our family now from the heavens above. Below is our families journey through Ryan's treatments, along with the joy and laughter we tried to instill into our daily lives. Those days helped us all cope with the pain and suffering that comes with cancer and it's deadly treatments. Both Missy and Ryan endured high doses of chemo, radiation and surgeries. Over 150 nights spent in the hospital and many, many more days. More transfusions than I could count. Yet both Missy and Ryan took on each day with a positive attitude and warm smile for all their friends. We miss them terribly. They will always be a shining light in our lives.

Broken Hearted
Les
I stumbled onto your blog quite by accident this evening and have taken some time to read your posts through the beginning of the year. Bless you--each and every one of you. Words fail me at this moment, but my heart and my prayers are with you as you walk this most difficult journey. I wish you Christ's peace.

I'm sure Missy is full of the light of God's love knowing that she gets to welcome Ryan into heaven. I will always remember her fighting spirit and uplifting voice that she conveyed on us during Max's fight against NB. I hope she has some time to spend playing with Max before Ryan joins them.

I learned of your situation through Monica (Rachel's mom), and I just had to write and tell you that my heart, my thoughts, and my prayers are with your amazing family during this incredibly difficult time.
What you've endured is other-worldly, and I am so sorry.
I lost my daughter to brain cancer 2 years ago. While I can probably somewhat know a portion of the pain you're feeling, I can never ever know the true magnitude of your heartache.
Love and prayers to all of you, from VA. I wish you peace and strength.

Although your world is filled with so much pain right now, God is with you, loves each of you, and cries beside you. Having lost his son, he knows the horrific pain of death and loss, and wraps his arms around you in this sad time.
I feel compelled to share the following Bible verse with you:
Philippians 1:6 (New International Version)
Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Your story does not end here- God has a plan for each of your lives, and will carry it on, even as you walk in this darkest of valleys.
I will continue to pray for you all.
Sincerely,

I pray for strength for you all.
I have sent my readers over here to you as well and have asked for their prayers as well.
It was an honor to know and work with Missy everyday. What an amazing person she was. I know no words could ever make this time easy but know she loved each and everyone of you so dearly. Not a day went by when she did not talk about her family. How proud each and everyone of you made her. I can truely say what a honor it is to have known her. She has truly made me see the good in every bad situation. As her pink hat said life is good and she truly lived a wonderful life because of the four of you. Treasure the moment you had with her. She would not want yall to be sad, she would want yall to remember her life and the times tall laughed so do that each and every second you think about her. know my prayers are with yall and know she was truly a blessing to each and every child she taught. they all love her so much. She will be truely miss at BES everyday
with all my love to each and everyone of you,
