Our son Ryan was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma in 2004. In 2007, my wife Missy was diagnosed with stage 2 triple negative breast cancer. On July 8th, 2009, Missy lost her battle to this horrible disease. 2 days later, on July 10th, Ryan also lost his. Together forever, they both watch over our family now from the heavens above. Below is our families journey through Ryan's treatments, along with the joy and laughter we tried to instill into our daily lives. Those days helped us all cope with the pain and suffering that comes with cancer and it's deadly treatments. Both Missy and Ryan endured high doses of chemo, radiation and surgeries. Over 150 nights spent in the hospital and many, many more days. More transfusions than I could count. Yet both Missy and Ryan took on each day with a positive attitude and warm smile for all their friends. We miss them terribly. They will always be a shining light in our lives.

My heart is breaking for all of you. I can't imagine. I have been a faithfully prayer warrior but not a good signer. Please know I will continue to lift your family up in prayer as you start your journey's of firsts without both of them.
Hugs from Iowa.,

I am so sorry...there are no words. Only Jesus can bring healing and peace to your family... I can only pray that you all will feel His enormous love for you and that through that love you might feel closer to Missy and Ryan.

Love and prayers from KS,

I have followed Super Ryan for years and am so saddened that both Missy and Ryan can no longer be here with the family that they loved so much. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I don't know your family and you don't know me, but you have ENORMOUS faith and I pray for your family to somehow through this trying time to find peace. There are no words to be said, just know one day you will see them again. God Bless your family.

Les,

My heart is so heavy for you & your kids. I just want you to know that nobody should have to go through this, and you may feel totally inadequate, but if anyone can do this, you can. You are naturally so loving and caring with your kids, and you have great relationships with them. Please know that our whole family will be praying for you forever.
Love,
Alayna Brooks & Family

I have just learned of your family through COLE'S Foundation. My heart is breaking for all of you. I don't think there are any words that I can say to comfort you, but, please know I am praying for all of you and ask Him to please comfort and cover you with His loving hands. May He continue to bless and keep you in the palm of His hand.

Prayerfully,

COLE'S Prayer Team

Sending you our thoughts and prayers from Istanbul... May they walk in the gardens of eden together.

Praying for you all. Now they are both pain-free and together watching over you from above.

Les, Heidi and Will,
Our hearts are hurting, but can’t imagine the depths of your grief. Missy and Ryan were such courageous fighters. I can’t see myself continuing to go to work with the care for others the way she did with her struggles.
Les, thank you, for never giving up on your family and being a steadfast example to them and us.
We’ve been praying for your family for a long time and will continue to do so. May God bless you and comfort you. We are so glad they are no longer suffering.

Sending prayers and lots of love to your family. We are so very sorry for your loss.

words cannot express the sorrow i feel for your family.... i will keep you in my prayers in the days and months ahead.

It is unbelievable to me that this has actually happened, and the reality of the situation makes my heart break, especially for you three. Ryan, Missy, and your whole family showed me what strength is, and I know that you guys are strong enough to pull through this. As saddened as I am, I am happy they are no longer suffering. I have learned so much from your family over years, and I will always cherrish the numerous, wonderful memories I have with you all. You guys will continue to be in my prayers.

Love always,
Lauren
